En esta magnífica pintura aparecen ocho personajes. Dos damas, junto a dos caballeros participan del juego, mientras que otros tres caballeros y una dama observan el desarrollo de la partida. de estos personajes sólo la dama a la izquierda mira al espectador y parece señalar con su mano derecha la clave del cuadro.
El jugador enfrentado a ésta parece buscar en la mirada de un espectador una indicación a la vez que señala sus monedas.

El cuadro pertenece a la colección del conde de Pembroke, en Wilton House, Inglaterra.
